This book puts into order the reasons for the dynamics of Asian relations in Japan and North and South Korea. By explaining how a group of people with great of power and money, used the Atomic Bomb to destroy two Christian centers in Japan's Nagasaki and Korea's Pyongyang. Dionisi opens our eyes to evil, but Dionisi explains that USA is not evil, but a group known as The Brotherhood of Death. Death is evil enough to kill and destroy people's lives for their own agenda. Teach Peace Foundation wants to educate others about war to so as to prevent a Third World War.

Well written and researched book on secrets behind the atomic bomb program

Seemingly inexplicable historical and current events suddenly make sense in light of the revelations within the pages of this book. The very first sentence uncovers a major secret, that “the atomic bomb program was created and guided by a secret cartel that infiltrated the U.S. government.”
The case for the existence of a secret society known as The Brotherhood of Death, possessing a very focused agenda reaching far back into human history, is substantiated in credible, well supported evidence cited in nearly 600 footnotes, including primary sources, throughout the book.
In addition to its revealing, shocking and, in my opinion, impossible to refute information, is the author”s accuracy guarantee at the end of the book. Here he expresses his sincere belief that everything he has written is true and he invites anyone to publicly debate him if they find any discrepancies.
Beyond this, the book is well written and readable, enlightening and life changing.

OUTSTANDING

As someone who has written for alternative media for more than three decades, I found “Atomic Bomb Secrets” to be highly compelling and edifying. I gained new insight into why Korea was divided into North and South, but above all, why Nagasaki was chosen as an A-bomb target. Addictive series. Great for binge reading.

From LINGER 1 to LINGER 4: HERE THERE BE MONSTERS, you will be hooked as you travel from city to city with Christopher, Kate and Noah on their quest to stop the mastermind behind unspeakable crimes--the man they call the Beast.

Each book unravels new twists and challenges that the characters must confront, solve and most of all, keep themselves out of the clutches of the Beast’s torturous plans for them.

In LINGER 4: Here There Be Monsters, I was again hooked into the plot immediately and became captivated by the storyline and the secondary characters, each added yet another layer of mystery and suspense. In this novel, we are introduced to a few secondary colorful characters, creating a perfect balance to lighten up the intense scenes.

The author pulls you in flawlessly, and you feel you are right there with the characters, as they battle their own internal demons as they fight to stay one step ahead of the Beast.

I got chills reading about the real-life atrocities in the Texas Killing Fields. The strength of the author’s writing allowed him to take a real-life, tragic landmark and utilize it into the story in a gripping, realistic manner, adding to the grit and suspense of the series theme.

The circumstances in which the three protagonists find themselves in, include supernatural elements; however, those elements are interlaced into the storylines in a believable manner, filled with emotion and vulnerabilities, making each character and their own personal journey and their team effort relatable.

You will find yourself caring about each character, and looking forward to the next book, as the layers are peeled back, and you will not only root for them, but you will look forward to getting to know even more about Noah, Christopher and Kate.

The author does an excellent job at weaving in a back-story for each character, and allowing the reader access to what is tearing at their souls as they use their gifts and strengths to face a new day, in a new city on their tiring, and at times, gut-wrenching and always dangerous journey to bring down the Beast.

Their decisions and actions make it seem real, and the writing brings the reader into the story so much so, you feel as if you are right there with each of one them.

In LINGER 4: Here There Be Monsters, Christopher, Kate and Noah find themselves in Texas, risking their lives as they are led into a maze filled with terrifying consequences, especially for Kate.

I got chills imagining myself in Kate’s situation, which for me is the sign of an imaginative, strong writer.

Gritty, suspenseful, edge of your seat suspense, LINGER 4: Here There Be Monsters, as like the other three books before, does not disappoint.

This story unfolds at a good pace, allowing the reader time to get accustomed to the new city, to the developing relationship each character has with each other, and building up to a nail-biting climax that will have you holding your breath.

Chills and thrills!

This book scared the living daylights out of me! You could cut the tension with a knife. I loved the female cop--what a tough lady--and Edward Fallon clearly knows from law enforcement.

But what really got me was the suspense--it was just like the screws on a violin. With every twist and turn, the screws got tighter.

I started with this book. It's so good, I will be going back to read the other volumes.

After coming up empty handed in Texarkana, Texas, Kate persuades Weston and Christopher to head to Austin. Kate uses her contacts from her past in law enforcement to obtain a speedy private investigator license that allows her to carry concealed weapons.

While in Austin the team is drawn to the Texas Killing Fields where countless bodies have been discovered dumped since the 1970’s. When they get to Austin, Christopher begins having seizures and crying out about “Monsters”. This leads to Kate investigating on her own while Weston cares for Christopher which puts Kate in grave danger.

Linger 4 kept me up reading into the wee hours to find out if Kate would survive this investigation. The pace of this series does not slow down one bit in Linger 4. I couldn’t read it fast enough to find out what was going to happen. Here There Be Monsters just whets ones appetite for more in this series.

Excellent Read

This is an interesting and very informative book about a dark time in history I knew so little about. The descriptive writing takes you to foreign and exotic lands and back into the 1950's through today. The diverse characters are well developed and draw you into their story of struggle and triumph, friendship and family. You can tell extensive research went into this novel. Highly recommended!!!

Review of The Man who Walked out of Isabelle

This is a tantalizing and incredibly interesting book. Isabelle packs a very colorful international cast. However, I couldn't get enough of Max Kohl...Bond, Bourne and coolest guy on earth combined into one extremely well developed character. The professional soldier's, action packed historical journey through the decades, shroulded by war, was insightfully interjected with a deep concern for what the true meaning of family and friendship amount to. A five star read. This book is special!

Great story on a little known aspect of history

This one took me by surprise a little. A war-torn, exploited, and struggling Vietnam is the last place you'd expect to find the human element in these characters, but as their stories weave together, that's exactly what happens. Great ending too!

This review applies to the 2003 edition of the text.

MBA & long time global tax structurer. For tax info, i rely on BNA or CCH but thought i'd have a gander at economics & tax. I'm not a fan of socialist French economics; Piketty in particular (yech). Massive reservations about Salanie... (Piketty was a student, i gather)... I'm really glad to have ventured. Not only is this little text approachable and of infinite value but Salanie's other text, the Economics of Contracts, is an equal gem. Shhh....

Salanie not only shares the history (threads) of classical & PE tax systems but also explains (unties the knots (tax & economics models)) which act as frameworks for public policy.

Grounding tax systems in Musgrave's public policy (1959) and others, and then springing from there, this is a much needed primer on the roles of tax/fiscal policies which underlie primarily the western world's economic systems.

Yes, this little gem is worthy of "summer reading with quiz at end" for all members of government & information agencies Congress, Parliament, Directorates, etc.

Possible enhancement for a 3rd edition might include the instantiation of economics principles by way of specific references to US/other Tax Regulations/Codes/Laws.

In all, despite being a French economist, recommended without reservation.

From the stylings of pre-Socratic thinkers to the work of Plato and Aristotle, to an overview of more modern philosophers such as Descartes, Nietzsche, Kant, and Hegel, A Beginner's Guide to Philosophy touches upon the quandaries that have hounded thinkers throughout history: the existence of God, the meaning of life, human nature, and the question of what true freedom is. "If not all acts are free in the same way, should freedom itself depend on the degree of enlightenment it brings? Or is every man essentially free in so far as he is a man? If this is the case, we must not simply identify the capacity for being free with the enactment of freedom. We still don't know how freedom can be made concrete in the world." Surprisingly, this works.

As someone who has devoted four decades of his adult life to either teaching or studying philosophy (or both), I was skeptical when a publisher sent me this little book entitled "A Beginner's Guide to Philosophy." How could anyone provide an adequate overview of philosophy in 30 short snippets that come to just over 100 pages of text?

When I began reading I soon discovered that Dominique Janicaud had done precisely that. Written originally for his 20-year-old daughter (and translated into English by Lisabeth During), "A Beginner's Guide" truly lays the foundation for reasoning philosophically and shows why this is important. Along the way Janicaud briefly describes some of the main ideas of philosophers as diverse as Socrates, Heraclitus, Aristotle, Descartes, Leibniz, Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer, and Heidegger. Needless to say, in such a short book, there are some important figures that have gone missing, such as Aquinas and Wittgenstein. But the reader will come away from this book with at least a glimpse into what some major philosophers have thought and why they have thought the way they have.

However, what is most beneficial in this book is not the philosophical date it provides (which is admittedly sketchy) but the love for philosophy that shines through and the raising of the questions that philosophers have asked since the time of the ancient Greeks (as well as why these questions are truly important). If this book inculcates a love of philosophical thought and a desire to learn more in one individual, it will have been worth the effort.

Gracefully and pleasantly written, I didn't think this book said much.It's not really an introduction to philosophy.It's a meditation of sorts by the author on why philosophy matters .I enjoyed some of his comments on the impenetrable ( for me) Hegel.If you read this you will probably enjoy it.However if you don't , you aren't missing much.

Applications of hydrodynamic lubrication in various forms of bearings - journal bearings, thrust bearings and externally pressurized bearings - are outlined. The important and still evolving subject of elastohydrodynamic lubrication is treated in some detail, both at its fundamentals as well as its applications in thin shell or overlay bearings, cam-followers and internal combustion engine pistons. The fundamentals of biotribology are also covered, particularly its applications to endo-articular mammalian joints such as hip and knee joints and their arthroplasty. In addition there is a treatment of the rapidly emerging knowledge of tribological phenomena in lightly-loaded vanishing conjunctions (nanotribology) in natural systems and very small devices such as MEMS and high density data storage media.

This book targets the undergraduate and postgraduate body as well as engineering professionals in industry, where often a quick solution or understanding of certain tribological phenomenon is sought. The book can also form an initial basis for those interested in research into certain aspects of tribology.

About the Author
William A. Simmons is professor of New Testament studies and Greek at Lee University. He has taught New Testament studies and Greek for over twenty years in Europe and the United States. His specialty is in Pauline studies. The theological continuity between the historical Jesus and the apostle Paul served as the basis for his PhD dissertation. Dr. Simmons takes us into the world of the New Testament in an exciting and insightful way. Scholarly, yes. Boring and dry, no. Offers meat on a stick with dessert on the side! The illustrations, photography, time lines, and maps are excellent. The organization of the book and readability is also fantastic. Great quality at a very affordable price. Should be a part of any manners and customs library. A must for all pastors, preachers, and Biblical teachers.

About the Author

Hartley Dean is Professor of Social Policy at the London School of Economics. Before his academic career he had been a welfare rights worker in one of London's most deprived multi-cultural neighbourhoods. His principal research interests stem from concerns with poverty and social justice. He is a past editor of the Journal of Social Policy and among his more recently published books are Social Policy (Polity, 2006 and 2012), Understanding Human Need (The Policy Press, 2010) and Social Rights and Human Welfare (Routledge, 2015).

Lucinda Platt is Professor of Social Policy and Sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Before joining the LSE she worked at Essex University and at UCL Institute of Education, where she was Director of the Millennium Cohort Study. A quantitative sociologist, Lucinda's main research interests are in inequalities and social stratification, in particular child poverty, ethnicity, immigration and disability, and in longitudinal approaches to analysis of these issues. Her most recent book was Understanding Inequalities: Stratification and Difference (Polity, 2011), and she is co-author of Intergenerational Consequences of Migration (forthcoming Palgrave Macmillan).
